Luke 19.28-40

Product description

In this reading we see Jesus entering Jerusalem to fulfill a famous prophecy about a King. The people are very happy and lay palm leaves on the ground and wave them and cheer "Hosanna" as he rides on the back of a humble donkey.

 

This is a happy scene, but in one week the crowds will turn against Jesus and shout "Crucify him".

 

With this lesson plan we supply you with information and discussion points related to the reading.  We also supply support sheets to allow the children to make their own decorated palm leaves, or a "Road to Easter" banner for the older age group.
