This reading is the story of John baptising Jesus in the river Jordan, to prepare him for teaching and helping people.

 

Lesson Plan Outline:

 This lesson plan includes a quiz for teacher to use. This will teach, or remind the class which mothers in the Bible gave birth to which children, and the teacher can then explain the links between them within the Bible stories

 

Craft Activity: Make a dove with concertina wings

This craft is based on the image of God appearing as “dove-like” to Jesus.

Instructions and support sheets are provided for each child to make their own paper dove.
